Non-fiction medical leisure reading

Did you know that the Media Library collection includes some popular non-fiction leisure reading books on medical topics (do med students have leisure time?!!)...here are some of the titles that you might want to read when you have a long break:
Complications and Better by Atul Gawande
Another Day in the Frontal Lobe by Katrina Firlik
Final Exam by Pauline Chen
Body of Work by Christine Montross
How Doctor's Think by Groopman

Check the library racks or ask us for more information! These titles can be borrowed for longer time periods.

Revised Borrowing Policy!!

This summer, the library staff reviewed the borrowing policy and made it somewhat less restrictive, taking into consideration the constructive comments we received from the library survey we conducted in the fall of 2007. Here are some of the changes:

Items can be borrowed for 3 hours, and we will grant an extension once depending on availability and demand.
Books can be checked out 3 hours before closing for overnight use.
Holiday weekends: Books can be checked out after 6 pm on Friday.
3rd/4th years and grad students: Books can be borrowed for up to 7 days with one renewal.

Check the complete borrowing policy for more information (library website or bulletin board outside library)
